This page serves as the FrontPage Style Sheet for construction-material pages of this site.
The purpose of the page is to be referenced in the <body
stylesrc="c000004e.htm">
tag of other pages of construction material to be given the same
style.
The Style Source information obtained in this way provides the following information
the color of the page background
any image/watermark used in that background
the default font color
the color of unvisited hypertext links
the color of active (being visited) hypertext links
the color of visited (including local) hypertext links
In FrontPage 2000, the Style Source is set from the File / Properties / Background tab and specifying the "Get background information from another page" check box and page location. In FrontPage 2003, the attribute must be set manually by editing the body tag.
The contribution of this page can be reviewed by inspecting the HTML source or by viewing the page in Microsoft FrontPage
The use of the FrontPage Style
Sheet introduces a custom stylesrc
attribute into
the <body>
tag. Although this tag is
benign, it will provoke an error report from a checker for HTML 4.01
compatibility.
When Internet Explorer 8.0 enforces standards-compliance by default, this attribute may fail (or end up being ignored). At that point, a CSS solution will be required. It is not clear what will be the easiest way to accomplish that at this point and I am in denial for now -- dh:2008-04-06-08:51.
